The day finally arrived, my Jeffree Star Alien collection landed at my door. I was so excited to try all the new products out and after a week of using I have now gathered all my thoughts to share. Here’s everything I bought including all the details:
Jeffree Star Velour Lip Scrub
- Price: £12 / $12
- 100% cruelty free / vegan
- Flavours include French Toast, Salted Caramel, Eggnog, Pumpkin Pie with Whipped Cream
If you have read any of my previous posts you would know I don’t usually invest in a lip scrub as it’s so easy to make, but as I was picking up a few pieces from the Alien collection I decided to add the scrub to my basket (whoops).
I haven’t been disappointed, this is a really nice item. The tub is a decent size and it’s going to take me ages to finish even though I have been using it daily since it arrived. I decided to purchase the Salted caramel flavour and I cannot express enough how much this actually tastes and smells like salted caramel. It is delicious.
The scrub itself is very gentle on the lips and always leave mine feeling soft. Throughout the cold weather it really helps to keep dry, chapped lips at bay.
Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lip
- Price: £16 / $18
- 100% cruelty free / vegan
- Shades include: Karma, Jeffree Who?, Clout, Triggered, Scandal, Hi, How are you?, Can’t relate and Your still on the property
I have started to develop a bit of a collection of Jeffree Star liquid lips as they are such a good quality product. From the Alien collection I bought Jeffree Who? which is a pink colour (see swatch) and Can’t Relate because who doesn’t love a new nude shade.
Both shades apply very easily. Jeffree Who? applies opaque with one layer but I often apply a second layer of Can’t Relate. Although I apply a second layer this does not effect the application it just prevents my natural lip colour from peeking through.
Once applied the formula dries down quickly with minimal effort. They are very light on the lip, leave no sticky residue and will last so well throughout the day.
Jeffree Star Alien Palette
This would be my favourite item in the collection. Jeffree’s decision to do the Alien packaging and theme is just right up my street. I love it!
The price point is a bit steep but the shadows are such a good quality. All of them feel so soft and creamy. When using I have found they blend really well with minimum effort. The metallic’s have such an incredible shine I’m really impressed. The shade Probe in particular is one of the best.
Do you need this palette?
For me the Jeffree Star Alien palette is his best yet. This would be because of the shade range available here. I don’t think it is a shade range to everyone’s taste but for me the greens, purple, grey and metallic’s are to die for and I will really get some good use out of them.
I think the main thing to look at when considering purchasing this palette is the shade range and if you feel it fits well for you, then take the plunge and get it because it is so worth it. If the shade range is not for you then Jeffree now has so many more palettes available I’m sure you will find one that fits your tastes.
Did You pick up anything from the Jeffree Star Alien Collection? Do you have any of the other collections or palettes that you enjoy? Let me know in the comment section below and we can start discussing. Wishing everyone a great, positive week and next post will be on Friday.
